Introduction
For decades, Insituform has been manufacturing high-quality CIPP liners from our Wellingborough facility in Northamptonshire, UK. To better serve our expanding European customer base, we have established a dedicated facility in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. This site operates as our central European hub for both impregnation and distribution, ensuring fast, reliable access to Insituform’s proven CIPP solutions across the continent.
Manufactured in the UK, Distributed Across Europe
Each liner begins its journey at our UK manufacturing centre, where more than 28 rigorous quality checks ensure strength, consistency, and performance at every stage of production. The result is a product that delivers reliability and confidence from the outset.
Efficient Distribution of Pipe Rehabilitation Products
Our global distribution network ensures the efficient delivery of CIPP solutions to critical infrastructure projects, with facilities in the UK and the Netherlands managing the supply of impregnated liners to regions facing ageing infrastructure.
Focus on Product Development and Global Distribution
While Insituform continues to perform installation work in the American market, Insituform UK focuses on product development and distribution in Europe and other international markets.
In addition, we either carry out impregnation ourselves or perform it on-site at the customer’s location, depending on the system. This flexibility is crucial, as certain products must be installed within a short window to prevent the material from hardening too quickly.
Addressing the Challenges of Ageing Infrastructure in Europe
Sewer systems across Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and Germany, were installed in the 1960s and 1970s and are now approaching or have already surpassed their technical lifespan. In the Netherlands, where much of the country lies below sea level, leaks in ageing pipes pose significant risks. Groundwater infiltration can carry contaminants like sand and debris into the pipe network, causing erosion and road subsidence.
Additionally, buildings with wooden pile foundations, common in the Netherlands, are vulnerable to rotting from fluctuating water levels due to leaks, which can endanger structural integrity and lead to groundwater contamination.
"We have been working with our products since the 1970s and can therefore offer particularly comprehensive expertise in the market. Of course, we are constantly evolving: In addition to solutions for sewer systems, we now also offer products for drinking water supply, which have already undergone extensive certification. We also now offer systems for laying electrical and ventilation lines.”
