The rehabilitation process involved the use of trenchless technology to install a DN 300 CIPP felt liner in two sections of the existing pipeline. The first section was 315 metres long, and the second was 290 metres long. The CIPP method was chosen due to its effectiveness in renewing old pipelines with minimal disruption. The liner was resin-saturated and inserted into the old pipe, where it was cured in place to form a new, durable pipe.
This method offers both a sustainable and cost-effective solution to extend the service life of the pipeline without the need for open-cut construction. The entire project was completed in just five days, demonstrating the efficiency and rapid turnaround of the trenchless rehabilitation method.
